I'm wrapping up at work, so I might walk over to a Verizon store in a minute, but from posts I've been reading, I was under the impression that regardless of whether or not I have any kind of data plan, Unlimited or otherwise, if I want to tether off of my phone, I have to pay some kind of ~$30 a month fee to turn my phone into a hotspot and tether off of it.

I concede that I don't need ROMs because it would break the Moto Mod functionality, so that's something I can live without until they arbitrarily stop updating the phone in a year in an attempt at planned obsolescence. Both of these require root to actually do much of anything. The Play is supposed to have a 3500mah battery, but I've paid for apps like Greenify and Amplify so that I can make the most out of my device.

I just kept installing the apk on phones when I started fresh. I tried to find a way to fully uninstall the Google Calendar that comes with the Stock ROM because I really like the slimmer old version of Google Calendar that I have. I know it has 32GB of onboard storage, but I really don't want some of their bloat. The inability to uninstall bloatware and forced apps bugs me a bit. Titanium Backup has saved me a few times before, and now I can't touch app data in a locked down file-system. Allegedly I can use DNS66 to get by without AdBlock, although I've never tried it.

I liked being able to install tweaks that came with XPosed. Sorry to make a conversation out of this. Why record your calls: because you'd look stupid or unprofessional calling back that recruiter or doctor because you forgot some detail about your meeting because you'd look like an ass calling back the girl because you forgot a detail about your date because you can't take notes while driving because you need to recall a detail in a conversation you had 2 weeks ago etc. It has 4 completely different methods of recording, one is bound to work. Expensive, but will manage to record calls on almost any device. (Yes, the dev makes apps to sync with iCloud as well.) But seriously, they work with open standards and can sync with lots of other services, including a self-hosted website.

These are the apps that I consider essential to make life with Android worth living for me (plus Rounds which is just nice to have). I play a lot of games with friends and family and this comes into use surprisingly often. Very simple but works for almost any game (as long as you trust the person keeping the score anyway), from board games to pub darts. Rounds: A brilliant little app for keeping game scores.put it on the statusbar), and work how you want (ie.

SoundHUD: This little app fixes a long-standing idiocy in the Android UI: the volume popup.Aqua Mail: An email app for email power users.Titanium Pro: Freeze apps, backup and restore app versions, bulk operations (hide from Play updates, scheduled backups etc.).

This makes any device so much better, because you can implement features that are missing. It also has all kinds of nifty features, like cutting individual wake up paths (some sister apps wake up each other, like for example you use Messenger but not Facebook, Messenger will wake up Facebook when you use it – cutting the wake up path will put a stop to that). No, it doesn't overlap 100% – plus it can kick Doze into high gear, activating it even when device is in motion. Yes, it overlaps with Doze in recent Android versions. Greenify: Prevents apps from consuming battery when not in use, while allowing them to respond normally to things like notifications.Going by the prices now listed on the store (in no particular order):
